Our impressive production provided the grounding for some wonderful dance performances and slick television broadcast.
So You Think You Can Dance has brought dancing to the forefront of people’s minds, with the show attracting huge viewer numbers and becoming a household name.
The highly complicated and detailed design needed to work not only for the viewers, the camera, and a live audience who sat within the set, but for the dancers who would be the ultimate stars of the show.
We built cameras into the set, with every angle carefully established and agreed to during the pre-production phase to ensure they were perfect for television. All the while, the set had to retain its gloss while being functional for dancers and, most importantly, all these elements had to last for the many months of filming.
To install and remove the set and infrastructure proved a highly complicated process, as each element followed specific sequences and plans to bring the intricate design to life.
Fremantle Media Australia approached us to deliver the production for Australia’s number one rating dance show. Adapted from the international format, and reflecting an Australian look and feel, we delivered the entire project in just four weeks.
