The Veuve Clicquot Award
Veuve Clicquot owes so much of its’ success to Madam Clicquot, the founder of the Champagne house Veuve Clicquot in 1972. This award is handed out in various countries around the world, Australia being one of them and has been running for 40 years…celebrating amazing achievements in business by women.
Past winners have included Suzannah Vaughan, Sarina Bratton and most recently Maryanne Shearer of T2 fame.
The experience needs to include the famous Veuve Clicquot twist and highlight how these women, like Madam Clicquot, have pioneered a new direction or made a major impact in business.
Under the direction of Black Communications, Veuve Clicquot’s PR company, we have had the privilege of producing the Award many times; from the dining room of Custom House to the stunning view of the Sydney Theatre Wharf or the premium photo studio in the Rocks.
This has included interviewing the finalists and telling their story, a very interesting way to spend an hour with each finalist. The hardest part is always deciding what is kept in the short videos as they have excelled in their fields in so many ways.
By far the highlight is delivering the project with a new creation. With Black Communications this is always a challenge…from the Veuve water taxis, to the stage designed like the trophy, to using the image of Madam Clicquot made up from all the past winners of the award.
When one hundred of the top echelon of women in business are in the same room at the same time the detail had better be right. They notice. We made sure the destination was flawless, like the champagne.
