The Lord of the Rings: The Rings Of Power Global Launch
The Challenge
Prime Video came to Fourth Wall to produce the Australian arm of the global launch of the returning season of The Lords of the Rings: The Rings of Power, which has been a worldwide hit.
The launch had to realise the global direction for the local market, take into account Australian audiences and media, and adapt to winter in the southern hemisphere as opposed to the outdoor northern hemisphere weather.
The Creation
Fourth Wall anchored the experience around the iconic ring and the hero element in Season 2 – fire. A dominating cauldron became the centre point of the media wall, with a huge ring above it that would burst into flames when the international cast appeared. This photo became one of the most used from the worldwide tour, showcasing Australia's creativity.
Once guests moved inside via the flaming walkway and flaming media wall, they experienced a magical forest across all levels of IMAX Sydney before settling in and enjoying the screenings.
The Outcome
"This event was EPIC. I loved it so much. I think it was the most impressive premiere we have done in terms of scale, look and how easy it felt on the day when we all arrived.
The whole team internally is singing its praises, the talent were beside themselves and all reps said it was the best premiere. You guys smashed it." says it all.
