Events NSW and the Football Federation of Australia needed a single image that would give the world’s media a compelling visual for Australia’s 2022 World Cup bid.

Fourth Wall installed four-metre diameter branded soccer balls on the Harbour Bridge, with the Premier of NSW, the Socceroos and the Matildas pushing them across together. Twenty floating balls surrounded them, operated by young players selected from across New South Wales. At the South End, a full-scale soccer pitch was painted directly onto the bridge surface, framed by the iconic pillars. The resulting image became the defining visual of the bid campaign.
